Cadres warned by the police IG.

Inspector General of Police Mr. Kanganja says only accused persons will be allowed to access courts.

Last week the ACC and courts failed to prosecute minister of health Chitalu due to multitudes of people who where ferried from Mansa.

And Kanganja has told police officers to deal with cadres who go to make noise at police stations.

This is contained in a press statement released today that the police have observed the growing tendency of political party cadres storming police stations with impunity as has been the case in the recent incidents recorded in Lusaka and the copperbelt provinces.

Mr kakoma said invasions of radio station s by political cadres whenever a political figure is being hosted has continued with the recent being in mufulira district of the copperbelt where cadres clashed and attacked each other wont be tolarated.

Mr Kanganja said that Zambia is a Christian nation which has laws in place and any person who feels aggreved buy the conduct of another should log their complaints.

Mr Kanganja has further warned all political parties that him and his team will not tolerate any misconduct or thuggery behavior by any one irrespective of their political affiliation.

“I want to advise that individuals without cases at courts of law should stay away especially this time when we are faced with the COVID-19 pandemic.
Police will ensure that only those with cases in court access court premises. Any resistance to this directive shall attract equal reaction from the police so as to ensure compliance,” Kanganja warned.

Kanganja said police will not entertain any misconduct or thuggery behaviour by anyone irrespective of their political affiliation.

He also called on his officers to ensure that such criminal conducts come to an end.

The IG also reminded political players to term their cadres from protesting at police stations because the facilities were not play grounds.

“Any disrespectful conduct towards the police by any individual will be met with the full wrath of the law,” he further warned.
