POLICE ARREST FOUR SUSPECTS LINKED TO ROBBERIES IN THE DISTRICT

POLICE in Choma have arrested four suspects linked to the current robberies in the district.

The said suspects are said gave targeted workers from lodges as well as other innocent people who me they have robbed their valuables.

Southern Province Police Commissioner Bonny Kapeso has revealed this to Mwebantu that the suspects were picked yesterday from Zambia compound in Choma.

Kapeso has named the suspects as Kelvin Malambo aged 22 years, Brian Silemu aged 25 years, Joseph Mulenga aged 19 years, and Given Santana aged 17 years old.

He says all the suspects are residents of Zambia compound within the district.

“They were picked yesterday following a tip from members of the public,” Kapeso has said.
The police Chief has alleged that the four suspects have been terrorizing people and grabbing people’s items between 19:00hrs and 22:00hrs.

“They are currently in police custody and will appear in court soon and have been charged with robbery,” Kapeso says.

In another development, Sinazeze police have also arrested the firth person associated with the murders reported in the area where four other assassins where last week nabbed.

Kapeso says the firth suspect has been identified as Kausa Muchindu aged 41 years old of Siamakoli village in Pemba district.

The police Chief has further revealed that the suspect is reported to be the chief manufacturer and
Supplier of home made guns used in the killing of people in Sinazongwe area.

“He will be jointly charged with the other suspects nabbed for murder cases being handled by the police and Will appear in court soon,” says Kapeso.
